Nurturing Young Minds
First Presbyterian Church Preschool is an outreach ministry of First Presbyterian Church, and we serve children and families throughout the community. A "hands-on" approach is encouraged through imaginative play, exploration, and experimentation. Our program has been in existence since the 1960s and since that time we have continued our long tradition of a vibrant, high-quality, half-day preschool program.
First Pres Preschool is such a warm and loving environment. The children are greeted by name upon arrival and dismissal each day. All our children’s teachers have been extraordinarily creative with all of their activities, schedules and crafts. It has been a great experience for our family!

Nature Playscape
Our Nature Playscape encompasses many different areas on our extensive campus; allowing many varied opportunities for children to explore and interact with the world around them.
Classes
Each of our classrooms is staffed with two fully qualified lead teachers. Our classrooms act as the ‘third teacher’ to create an environment that engages each child in learning experiences that stimulate and promote active participation while they are at school.
School Experience
Our curriculum is play-based and has a strong emphasis on social and emotional development, independence and outdoor learning.

I have been in the field of Early Childhood Education for 30+ years and this program is the pinnacle of my experience! The program offers children the opportunity to learn, develop and grow in an accepting, loving environment where teachers foster a love of learning AND love what they do!
The joy and excitement for each new experience is palpable when you walk into our school.
