Feel the Love of Christ

A Welcoming Community

First Pres is an active Charlottesville church and a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA).

Some of us consider church our second home, and others are discovering the love of God in Christ for the first time. Through worship, fellowship, service, and groups together, we connect with one another as people who have been touched by some inkling of the Spirit and who are looking for ways to deepen our expression of faith, and have it nurtured in a community that endeavors to love thy neighbor. We sense God connecting with us in Scripture, music, and prayer as we have open conversations about how to live our faith in the world today. There's a place for you at First Pres!

Supporting PDA to Bring Hope and Relief

Responding to California Wildfires

First Presbyterian Church stands in solidarity with those affected by the devastating California wildfires. We encourage our community to support relief efforts by donating to Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA), which is providing vital resources and aid to those impacted. PDA is working closely with local Presbyterian churches and pastors to respond to immediate needs and support recovery efforts. Click the button below to learn more about how First Pres is responding and how you can contribute to this important work.
