Church Community
First Pres is an active congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA).
Some of us consider church our second home, and others are discovering the love of God in Christ for the first time. Through worship, fellowship, service, and groups together, we connect with one another as people who have been touched by some inkling of the Spirit and who are looking for ways to deepen our expression of faith, and have it nurtured in a community that endeavors to love thy neighbor. We sense God connecting with us in Scripture, music, and prayer as we have open conversations about how to live our faith in the world today. There's a place for you at First Pres!

Habitat for Humanity with Hearts & Hands

At the end of September, Habitat for Humanity will celebrate and dedicate 25 new homes in the Southwood Community. To support the families moving in, we’re collecting 25 items each of basic cleaning supplies to help them get started.

Hearts & Hands
In its second year, the Hearts & Hands initiative invites families with children up to 12 years old to engage in meaningful mission work within our community. During this month's gathering we will be putting together 'cleaning caddies' to be given to Habitat for Humanity's new homeowners.
