Shana is a Virginia (Staunton) native and moved to Charlottesville from Florida ten years ago to be closer to family. A girlfriend and long time member introduced her to First Pres and she was instantly attracted to the
many ways to serve the Charlottesville community through church. She enjoys hosting PACEM, ushering, Soup Kitchen prep, and being a member of the Christian Outreach Committee. First Pres also introduced her to her new husband, Mac Walker!

What is God doing in your life?
I am forever interested in self improvement and specifically in growing my faith practices. Historically, I’ve done this by connecting to community and serving others. Now, I’d like to have a more spiritual focus, deepening my knowledge and my commitment to Christ.

What excites you the most about serving as an officer?
First Pres very quickly became my church “home”. After being a member for a few years, I’m ready for a new role where I can serve with even more church members.
