Jeremy Thompson
Director of Music
Jeremy was born in Dipper Harbour, New Brunswick, a small fishing village on the east coast of Canada. His father was a commercial fisherman, and Jeremy has spent lots of time on the water, particularly during lobster season. He grew up attending Dipper Harbour United Baptist Church, where he began playing music for church. He continued his studies in Montreal at McGill University, where he earned his Doctorate in Music Performance in 2005. While at McGill, he was introduced to the organ and began his studies with Dr. John Grew. He began his work at First Presbyterian Charlottesville in 2013 and enjoys the variety of musical expression used for worship at the church.
