David and his wife, Carolyn, have been active members of First Presbyterian Church for more than 40 years. David has practiced business law in Charlottesville since 1978 and is presently enjoying semi-retirement. His prior service to the church has included multiple terms on Session, during which time he has chaired the Personnel Committee, the Finance Committee, the Mission Study Task Force and the Staffing Model Task Force.

What is God doing in your life?
I feel that God is calling me to re-engage with the church and become involved in service now that I am semi-retired.

What excites you most about serving as an officer?
I look forward to serving the church as an officer, and to serving others through the church, and in so doing to deepen my connection with God.
