John and family moved to Charlottesville in 2002. He, his wife, Cathy, and two children have been a part of the FPC family for over 20 years. John has previously served as a Deacon, Stephen Minister and youth group leader.

What is God doing in your life?
God has blessed me with much: blessing and opportunities; grace and guidance; and has helped me navigate challenges. In addition, I sometimes feel God ‘s light touch in testing me while helping to refine my character. In reference to the latter, we are still highly focused on developing my level of patience.

What excites you the most about serving as an officer?
FPC has played an important role in our family’s personal and interpersonal growth. I have always spoken to its value to families and appreciate the influence FPC leaders and the youth group had on shaping and refining our children and their relationship with one another.
