Tad and his late wife, Sandy, joined First Pres in 2017. He spent nearly 40 years proudly serving in the US Air Force and then another 16 years as a faculty member at the Harvard Kennedy School. After traveling, serving and living globally for so many years, Charlottesville was the perfect place to sample retirement and to be closer to some of the kids and grandkids.

What is God doing in my life?
God has been so good to my family and has never led us astray. I am here to deepen my faith and serve others where possible.

What excites you most about serving as an officer?
It is time to give back in any way I can – and that excites me. I hope and pray to be of use to our congregation and, in turn, that effort will further God’s impact in all our lives.
