Ellen grew up in Chattanooga and was raised in the United Methodist Church. She graduated from UVA and, with a little help from Anne and David Bear, met and married Mark Roberson and joined FPC soon thereafter. Their 11-year-old daughter Avery keeps them on their toes, amused (for the most part), and humble. Following tours of duty in finance, hospitality, and development, she worked most recently in marketing and communications for 15 years before joining the First Pres staff. She has served FPC as a Deacon, Stephen Minister, Sunday school teacher, and member of Stewardship and Endowment.
