Paul has mostly lived in Charlottesville for the last two decades (minus stints in Berlin and Austin). After growing up in Richmond and then graduating from Rhode Island School of Design, Paul spent the next 15 years traveling with music, releasing a half dozen albums and doing production work for other artists. Following the onset of some health issues, Paul responded to a Craigslist ad while living in Austin, kickstarting six years of painting instruction. Though now retired from touring, Paul still runs a small local music studio (plus releases two songs per month on Patreon with his wife, musician Devon Sproule). Paul and Devon live with their daughter, Ray, and their Cavapoo, Tim, in a cute house with a wild yard, nice train views, and a soulful swing set with a big Earth flag. He joined the FPC family in 2018 and cherishes his weekly perch in the quiet, quiet balcony.
